.) Turn off the power and remove the cord from the printer.
.) Remove the paper cassette from the printer.
.) While facing the front of the printer open the front door and remove the two screws. There is a small sheet metal bracket on the left side of the door that is not captive and will be released when the screw is removed.
.) Open the right side door. Close the secondary transfer assembly. Remove the three screws on the left side, next to the white plastic link arm and carefully remove the link arm from the door.
.) There is a link arm on the right side with a small cover next to it. Remove the screw and then the cover.
.) Remove the wire harness from the guide and disconnect the two connectors. Remove the two screws that hold the link arm mount in place and pull the door away from the printer. It is much easier to remove the lower connector if you first remove the wire harness from the guide.
.) To remove the right rear cover,(corner cover) take out the two screw that hold it on and release the tab at the top of the cover and rotate the bottom of the cover away from the printer.
.) To remove the left cover you must first remove the four screws that hold the corner cover by the formatter in place and remove it from the printer. The left cover has eight tabs on it that lock it in place. Using your thumb, press in on the lower front of the cover and then flex it out to release the tab and slide the cover away from the front to release this tab. After this tab is released, slide the cover towards the rear of the printer and then rotate it away from the printer and remove.
.) There are two screws that hold the control panel in place, one on the front side and one on the right side. Once removed, lift the control panel up and rotate the top away from the printer and disconnect the connector at the control panel.
.)There are three screws that hold the right front cover in place, one on the front side and two on the right. It will be easier to remove this cover if you move the printer to the edge of the table so there is room for the cover to move downward. There are three tabs that lock into the frame. The use of a small flat blade screwdriver will help to pry behind the cover and this method will work as well. Release the tabs, rotate the bottom of the cover away from the printer and then pull down on the cover. NOTE: Be careful when removing the cover that you do not dislodge the power button from the cover.
.) Next remove the top cover by removing one screw, located on the left side under the lip up the cover. Slide the cover toward the left side of the printer to release it.
.) To remove the rear cover there are eight screws that hold it in place. Remove the screws and slide the rear cover towards the fan side of the printer and remove it.
.) The last cover left is the top rear cover and there are two screws that hold it in place. One is located on the front right side and the other on the left rear side. Once removed, slide the cover to the left side of the printer to release it.
